Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Flights to Berlin

You will be transferred from your school to your departure airport and your flight to Berlin. You will have free time before an evening of familiarisation.

Day 2: Visit the Brandenburg Gate, Check Point Charlie and the Reichstag in Berlin

Today you will be met by your guide for your full day city tour of Berlin taking in famous sights such as: The Brandenburg Gate  and Check Point Charlie. You will be dropped off near the Reichstag at approximately 2pm to enjoy lunch. After lunch you will be able to enter Reichstag on your own accord, spending as much time as you wish before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon. You will have an option night at a local bowling alley.

Day 3: Visit the Sachsenhausen concentration camp Berlin

Today you will meet with your guide for a visit to Sachsenhausen concentration camp located just an hour and thirty minutes away from your hotel. You will depart from your hotel in the late evening for your bus journey to Krakow, Poland.

Day 4: City tour of Krakow

You will arrive at your hotel in Krakow at approximately 8.00am. You will have time to freshen up before your city tour of Krakow on foot.

Day 5: Visit Auschwitz and experience a traditional Polish evening in the Jewish Quarter Krakow

Today you will be transferred to Auschwitz, located outside of Krakow, it has become a symbol of the Holocaust. One of the main reasons that Nazi Germany established the camp was because of it being an intersection of roads and railways. Before the Second World War, Jews living in Oswiecim were often artisans or merchants constituted about half of the small towns population. After the Holocaust it may be argued that Oswiecim will forever be overshadowed by Auschwitz - Birkenhau , the largest Nazi concentration camp and extermination centre. You will have a lunch stop in Bergenhau on the way back to your hotel. You will be able to enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. You will have the option of a traditional Polish evening in the Jewish Quarter.

Day 6: Return flight from Krakow

Today you will be transferred to Krakow airport for your flight to the UK. You will be transferred by coach from the airport to your school.
