Your guide will take you around: The magical old town, the castle, Cathedral on the Wawel Hill, Royal route Kanonicza Grodzka.

Day 3 – Visit the Wieliczka Salt Mines, the cathedral and Kazimierz district in Krakow

Today you will go to the Wieliczka Salt mines. The Salt mines are a world heritage site and have been worked continuously since the medieval times. The miners have carved elaborate underground rooms and sculptures within the Miocene salt.

The great cathedral is a large chamber carved entirely of salt, including floors, walls, ceiling and decorations. The chandeliers are made with salt crystals. After the tour you will be transferred to Kazimierz which is the district that housed the Jews for some 500 years.

In the last decade it has been rediscovered, and its hollowed out Jewish culture gradually reintroduced. Famous for its associations with Schindler and Spielburg. Optional evening at Polskie restaurant for your evening meal where you will have folklore music and traditional dancers.

Day 4 – Krakow and waterpark!

Day 5 -Visit to Auschwitz

Today you will go to Auschwitz located outside of Krakow, it has become a symbol of the Holocaust. One of the main reasons that Nazi Germany established the camp was because of it being an intersection of roads and railways. Before the Second World War, Jews living in Oswiecim were often artisans or merchants constituted about half of the small towns population. After the Holocaust it may be argued that Oswiecim will forever be overshadowed by Auschwitz – Birkenhau, the largest Nazi concentration camp and extermination centre.

Day 6: Return flight from Krakow
